Following the Extraordinary General Assembly decision of 13 February 2026, COTANCE unanimously approved a landmark revision of its Statutes, officially opening the organisation to a new category of members and setting the course toward a broader, more inclusive representation of the entire leather value chain.

What supporting membership means:

Becoming a supporting member of COTANCE means joining a European network that keeps you close to EU policy, projects, and stakeholders shaping the future of the leather industry. It is designed for organisations that want to stay informed, visible, and connected at European level without the responsibilities of full voting membership.

Policy & Advocacy

  • Receive regular briefings and updates on EU policies affecting the leather industry
  • Access individual advisory support on EU regulatory and policy matters

Projects & Funding

  • Receive updates on EU project calls and get support in preparing proposals
  • Participate in projects where COTANCE is a beneficiary 

Events & Networking

  • Attend the annual COTANCE Congress (without voting rights)
  • Participate in COTANCE working groups, including Circularity & Bioeconomy and Projects
  • Co-organise events with COTANCE and promote your activities through COTANCE channels

Visibility & Communications

Brussels Office Access

  • Use COTANCE's office in the European Quarter in Brussels: free access to a 1 to 2 person workspace, subject to availability
  • Access the 14-seat boardroom at a preferential rate

Membership fee:

Fees are assessed individually based on the type of organisation (profit / non-profit), number of employees and annual turnover. We are happy to discuss the details directly.
