OVERVIEW

I first entered the tanning world in 1986, through a temporary job. My studies had not been related to leather (I have an accountant BEP) and had no family working in that sector. However, I was looking for a job and had no particular prejudice as I intended to start making a living. My first impression was that I had entered an industrial world.

After working in the finishing department, I was transferred to the laboratory unit where I handled tests and the realisation of small studies. I then learned about retanning, fat-liquoring and dyeing.

After a few years, I trained at ITECH to learn the basics of leather making and got a leather BTS. Then I started working on leather finishing and acquired practical knowledge before becoming head of the R&D department.  I followed various training sessions, both technical and in managing skills. I constantly try to update my knowledge with technological progress so as to allow our customers to benefit from the latest improvements.

My role is to offer new products and see to their manufacturing.

I take pleasure in making leather, transmitting my know-how and taste for such a noble material.

I like the product, the beauty of it.

I like leather, its sensuality, its touch, its natural aspect, its fragrance, its beauty.  All this creates an emotion for the future buyer who will love the product.

The difficulty of the job is to keep being creative, to continue making new beautiful products and at the same time be rigorous enough to manufacture them in the best possible conditions.

I like leather, its sensuality, its touch, its natural aspect, its fragrance, its beauty.
