OVERVIEW

1 - How did you come to the leather industry?

Following the family tradition, after finishing high-school I had to go to a faculty, and so I did. I had technical abilities and that meant the Polytechnic Institute. When I had to choose a specialization, I thought, ‘Why not tanning’? So I did, and I wasn't wrong. I have been doing this for over 30 years.

2 – What job are you performing in the leather industry?

Manager. In the beginning, I started as an intern. Then I became head of department, director, owner, and eventually sales manager of a tannery.

3 - What qualification or training did you do to be there?

I studied at the Polytechnic Institute, specialising in leather processing.

4 - What do you (most) appreciate in your job?

The opportunity to test my ability to solve a problem, to deal with production, to obtain advantageous results for everyone, to coordinate teams and people in various and sometimes extreme situations.
