Technical Seminar between African operators from the West African leather industry Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire,  21-24 November 2001

 

The Technical Seminar, held in Abidjan, in November 2001, gathered tanners, leather operators and hide and skins producers from Western Africa. 

The objectives of the meeting were

- for the participants to share their experience and get together to show their respective governments that the leather industry is an important sector that may account for 10 to 60% of total export revenues
- to present that activities of the Leather Association of Western Africa
- to establish a cooperation protocole between the Centre for the Development of Enterprise and the Leather Association of Western Africa.
